Med/Surg Team Lead - Nursing Administration
The Med/Surg Team Lead position acts as the on-site Supervisor/Leader for the Medical Surgical Unit during assigned shifts, ensuring safe patient care, optimal staff deployment, and efficient patient flow, all which meet ACH’s standard of quality, efficiency and desired outcomes. They will oversee the Med/Surg unit, resolve issues, respond to emergencies (codes), and manage staffing resources to maintain high-quality care.
This position works under general direction of the DON. Incumbents are responsible for various shifts and may be subject to hours over 40 per week and call back as required.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Considerable clinical knowledge
Working knowledge of management principles
Proven leadership skills
• Minimum one-year ED or Med/Surg experience as a staff nurse
BLS
ACLS
PALS
Current RN licensure in the State of Alabama
